Terms and conditions

These Terms explain how customers access money remittance and other available services through Sarafi Bartar London. Please read them before creating an account or placing an order. The particular terms of each transfer, including the amount, rate, fees, destination and expected timing, are recorded in your Client Consent or other order-specific confirmation.

1. Who provides the service

Sarafi Bartar London is the trading name of Primores Group Ltd, an agent of Persici Financial Services Limited. For regulated payment services offered through this channel, your agreement is with Persici, the payment-service provider. Persici is an FCA-registered Small Payment Institution (FRN 812820). Neither Sarafi Bartar nor Persici is a bank, and the service is not a deposit account.

Persici's company number is 10805038; its registered office is 197E Hagley Road, Birmingham B16 9RD. Persici is registered with HMRC as a Money Service Business (XXML00000163487) and with the Information Commissioner's Office (ZA906128). The identity and rights of the regulated provider do not change because you communicate through the Sarafi Bartar website or team.

Primores Group Ltd may receive commission or other remuneration from Persici as its agent. Prices can vary between agents and channels; the exchange rate and fees for your order are always shown before you authorise it.

This page summarises Persici's Terms of Use and Payment Services Terms (version 2, effective 26 September 2026), which are the framework contract. If this page differs from those Terms, those Terms, your Client Consent and mandatory law apply.

2. What these Terms cover

These Terms cover account access, enquiries, identity checks, payment orders, rates, fees, settlement, support and disputes. Each accepted order is also subject to its specific Client Consent and any applicable service-specific information. Where provisions conflict, mandatory law prevails, followed by the applicable Client Consent, specific service terms and the framework terms.

Services may differ by customer, corridor, currency, purpose, method, amount and compliance assessment. Registering or obtaining an indicative quote does not guarantee a transfer will be accepted.

The website provides service information, not legal, investment, tax, immigration or financial-planning advice.

3. Eligibility and appropriate use

The Sarafi Bartar remittance offering is intended principally for eligible adults making personal transfers. You must be at least 18 unless a lawful exception and appropriate representative arrangement are accepted. Business or other restricted purposes are not automatically available and may be accepted only where Persici explicitly agrees and the activity is permitted.

You must not use the service for unlawful activities, sanctioned transactions, financial crime, misleading purposes, undisclosed third-party payments or attempts to avoid transaction controls. Orders may be declined, delayed or cancelled when legally or operationally necessary.

4. Your account and online tracking

The customer portal and order-tracking links are provided to help you access information and manage available steps in a payment journey. Keep passwords, one-time codes, devices and order links secure, and never share an order-tracking link. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. An action taken through an order-tracking link after its security checks have been passed may be treated as authorised by you, unless Persici knows the link was compromised or the law requires otherwise. Certain actions may require additional verification. An order-tracking link may offer limited access without creating a full portal account.

Electronic confirmations and authorised instructions may form part of the records showing what you agreed to.

5. Identity, source of funds and ongoing checks

We may ask you to verify your identity, address, the origin and purpose of money, the intended recipient, your relationship with the recipient and other details needed for compliance. We may use independent verification services and request additional information later. You must provide accurate, current documents and notify us of any material change promptly, and in any case within 30 days.

We may suspend or refuse a service if required checks are incomplete, the information is inconsistent, or a payment cannot lawfully proceed.

6. Placing and authorising an order

Before you authorise a payment order, we will make available the rate, fees, expected payment amount and other material terms applicable to that order. Check the recipient's details, payment reference and quoted amount carefully. An order can be subject to review after it is requested, and payment processing may be delayed or refused for legitimate reasons.

7. Funding the order

Only use the payment method and instructions specified for your order. To send money from the UK to Iran, you pay only by debit card. The card must be in your own name, and the payment is verified with 3D Secure. Bank transfers, credit cards and payments by a third party are not accepted.

We do not take a deposit, a separate advance payment or a minimum percentage payment.

A card authorisation may appear as a pending hold without the money having been finally taken. A hold can last up to seven days, or another period applied by your card issuer. If an authorisation is cancelled, your bank or card issuer determines when the hold disappears. Card-scheme or bank charges outside the quoted service fee may apply according to your provider's terms.

If a chargeback or bank recall is made after an order has been carried out, you must repay the amount reversed and any charges the Terms permit, unless the reversal was caused by Persici's error or the law prevents recovery.

8. Exchange rates, fees and timing

The accepted order confirmation sets out the exchange rate, any applicable fees and the expected amount to be delivered. Quotes may be time-limited, and the exchange rate can include a margin. A quoted rate applies only within its stated validity period and only if your payment is received in full within that period.

The Settlement Period starts once the order is accepted, cleared funds are received and checks are complete.

Sending money from the UK to Iran: your order confirmation shows the estimated timing. Transfers usually settle on the next working day, but this is an estimate, not a guarantee or a fixed commitment. The actual timing depends on when you pay, the daily closing and settlement handoff, identity and compliance checks, banking systems and Iranian non-processing days (Fridays and Iranian national and bank holidays). An order accepted after the daily closing, or on an Iranian non-processing day, is handed off at the next processing opportunity.

Receiving money from Iran in the UK: no next-day or other fixed time is promised. We tell you the estimated completion time for each order.

Additional administrative charges, where legally permitted and applicable, should be disclosed in the current fee schedule and relevant order information.

9. Cancellation, refunds and errors

Contact us immediately if you need to cancel or correct an order.

Sending money from the UK to Iran: you can ask us to cancel an order before the daily settlement handoff; your request must reach us before the handoff. Where your debit-card payment has only been authorised, cancelling releases the authorisation and your bank then releases the pending hold. When the hold disappears from your account depends on your bank, so immediate availability cannot be guaranteed.

If an order is cancelled, refused or cannot be completed, recoverable funds are returned to your original payment method or another account in your name that Persici accepts. Returned funds may be reduced by fees, exchange loss and permitted charges. Any such amounts are limited to what the law and your Client Consent allow.

How the daily settlement handoff works: there is no fixed, published cut-off time. Once an order is accepted, cleared funds are received and checks are complete, it joins the day's processing and its payment and settlement instructions are passed onward for settlement in Iran. Until that happens, a cancellation request can usually be acted on. Once the processing or settlement instructions have been passed onward, the payment in Iran may already be under way or completed, and cancellation may no longer be possible. If you want to cancel, contact us as early as you can.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights on cancellation and refunds.

A completed payment or refund may take longer to reverse or credit. Tell us promptly about any unauthorised, incorrectly executed or missing payment. Statutory notification and refund protections apply where relevant; for many protected customers, the outside notification period can be 13 months after debit, subject to legal conditions.

Payments sent using incorrect details: if a payment goes to the wrong account because the details you gave us were incorrect, we will make reasonable efforts to recover it, and you agree to cooperate with that process. Recovery cannot be guaranteed. Persici is not responsible for a payment made correctly to the details you provided, and may charge its reasonable recovery costs where the law permits.

Business customers that have agreed to the corporate opt-out must report an unauthorised, incorrectly executed or disputed payment within 30 days of becoming aware of it.

10. Important status of customer funds

11. Pauses, restrictions and service closure

Persici may pause, restrict, decline or end a service relationship when needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, sanctions, security, unpaid sums, risk management or other permitted reasons. Where the framework contract is indefinite and the law requires it, Persici gives at least 90 days' notice before ending it, or shorter or immediate notice where the law permits (for example for fraud, suspected financial crime, sanctions or security risk). You may end the framework contract by written notice. Open orders continue to be handled under the contract and applicable law.

12. Complaints and support

You can complain through Sarafi Bartar or directly to Persici. For payment-service complaints, the normal final-response target is 15 business days, extending to a maximum 35 business days in exceptional circumstances beyond Persici's control. Eligible complainants may be able to refer unresolved matters to the Financial Ombudsman Service. See the Complaints Procedure.

13. Privacy and records

We process information to provide payment services, verify identity, prevent fraud, comply with law, operate accounts and handle support. Read the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for further information. Transaction records, receipts, confirmations and digital authorisations may be kept as evidence subject to applicable rules.

14. Website access and intellectual property

Do not attempt to bypass security controls, misuse order-tracking links, interfere with systems, scrape protected services or impersonate another person. Website content, branding, software and related materials remain the property of their respective owners and licensors.

15. Liability and unavoidable events

Persici is responsible for losses caused by its breach of the Terms, negligence, fraud, wilful default or failure to comply with mandatory law. It does not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, mandatory refunds under the Payment Services Regulations 2017, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Except where the law provides otherwise, Persici is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or opportunity, market or exchange-rate movement, action by third-party banks or local counterparties, or events outside its reasonable control (such as war, sanctions changes, payment-system or telecommunications failure). It will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of such events.

You are responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information, breach of the Terms, use of another person's details, fraud, gross negligence, an unlawful purpose, a third-party payment, a chargeback or recall after execution, or failure to protect your security details. For business customers, Persici's liability for an order is limited to the fees paid for it, and business customers give an indemnity. Consumer statutory rights remain unaffected.

16. Changes and legal framework

Persici gives at least two months' notice in a durable medium of changes to the framework terms where required, and you may end the contract before a change takes effect. Some changes may take effect sooner where the law permits, for example where they are in your favour or required by law.

The Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where a protected customer has mandatory rights to bring proceedings elsewhere or to refer a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
